Student Activities Committee
The Student Activities committee is responsible for putting on events for all Purdue students on campus. Each SA member plans one event, with the help of the committee and other council members. In the Fall semester, SA puts on the Freshman Picnic, Engineering Olympics, and Quiz Bowl. In the Spring semester, SA's events include Sports Tourney, a 5K Run, and Student-Faculty Picnic.
- FRESHMAN PICNIC - a cookout held in Vawter Field to welcome freshman engineering students to Purdue
- ENGINEERING OLYMPICS - a fun-filled day of inflatable games and engineering design competitions. The event is held on the Engineering Mall and challenges students with both physical and mental tests. Students can have some fun between classes and win t-shirts and other prizes.
- QUIZ BOWL - a team Jeopardy-style tournament for students and professors. Teams compete through various rounds with trivia questions covering all subject areas. Registration for teams will be held on the PESC website.
- SPORTS TOURNEY - a co-ed volleyball tournament followed by a men's and women's 5 on 5 basketball tournament. The tournament is held in Lambert Fieldhouse and is open to students of all majors. Team registration will be online on the PESC website.
- 5K RUN - a charity run held on Purdue's campus. The event takes place on a Sunday and gives students a chance to interact and take a break from their studies.
- STUDENT-FACULTY PICNIC - a cookout on the Engineering Mall in the Spring that provides a chance for students to interact with faculty in an informal setting.
