Middle school students in 7th and 8th grades. Space is limited to the first 180 students who apply. Parents and teachers are invited and encouraged to attend along with the students.

Why:
To foster students' interest in science and engineering by allowing them to investigate everyday phenomena.

Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 2:15 PM. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM.

Where:
Physics Building Room 112 & 114, Purdue University, West Lafayette

Free -- Lunch will be provided for everyone who attends.

What's Happening:
Many hands-on experiments are planned for the day. The students will have the opportunity to visit five stations dealing with various aspects of engineering. Parents and teachers can tour the Purdue campus, learn more about the experiments the kids are doing, and have the opportunity to talk to current engineering students.

Other Important Information:
Lunch will be provided, so it is essential that you give us a correct count of students and adults who will be attending. If any students or adults require a special diet, we ask that you let us know ahead of time so that accommodations can be made.
Once we have received the registration form, we will send a confirmation packet to each student that includes directions to the Purdue campus, parking instructions, and a finalized agenda.

Deadline:
Deadline for registration is October 28, 2009.
