Scholarships
Merit Fund
The Merit Fund was started as a way for PESC to give back to Purdue's engineering community by providing monetary support for engineering organizations on campus. Through this award, PESC strives to encourage and facilitate the creation and implementation of a wide array of engineering related activities and programs that will have an impact on Purdue and the community. Funds are awarded in both the fall and spring semesters after an application and interview process.
The organization must be a student-run Purdue University Engineering organization. It is not necessary to have “engineering” in the title of the organization; however, the project should involve facilitating interest in engineering or promoting the knowledge of engineering principles. The finances awarded through Merit Fund are intended to support one-time future project costs. In the past, such funds have supported various outreach programs, research, and engineering-related goals. The funds may not be used for catering social events, creating logo wear, etc.

Resilience Scholarship
PESC’s “Resilience” Scholarship recognizes engineering students who actively promote mental health awareness and well-being within the Purdue Community. This scholarship aims to celebrate individuals who demonstrate a balance between personal well-being practice and a commitment to fostering a culture of support and resilience among their peers. Recipients of this scholarship will not only demonstrate a commitment to their personal well-being, but also be champions of mental health advocacy. Through their efforts, they should inspire others to achieve a healthier balance, fostering a more supportive and inclusive engineering community at Purdue.
The application operates along two pathways: self-nomination and peer-nomination. The applications will consist of three free response prompts and will be judged holistically. Submissions will be kept confidential and will only be read by the selection committee. Peer-nominations are optionally anonymous.
Resilience Scholarship applications are now closed.
Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
